Support crews and pacers can only go to the seven designated CPs. Receiving assistance (coffee, food, clothes, bandage, a place to sleep, etc.) anywhere else on the course will result in the racer being disqualified. We work hard to ensure fairness for all competitors and to keep it a level playing field, we need everyone to respect this rule.
Here is an overview of where you can meet your crew and get drop bags
You can have up to four separate pacers over the five separate pace-able sections. Only one pacer at a time! Here is what your pacer can expect for distances between the start and stop points.
NEW for 2025! This year, racers can bring up to four sets of drop bags/bins. The southern bag will start at CP3, then move to CP4, and then to CP13. Starting in 2025, we are implementing three drop bags for the northern part of the course. The YORK bag will live at CP6/10, the RACEHORSE bag will live at CP7, and the CHINOOK bag will live at CP9. We previously moved the northern bags five times into remote areas, and it was logistically difficult to keep making these trips over and over.
Only people without support crews typically need a drop bag. That said, anyone is welcome to have a drop bag at the prescribed locations. Please keep your bags or bins under 20kg (44lbs) and a reasonable size. If we have a whole pile of huge bags, we may not be able to fit them all under the tents, and then they will be out in the elements, so make sure they are water resistant.
