The SOO 200 is Eastern Canada’s only 200-mile race, set in the rugged terrain of the Sault Ste. Marie region. Known for its tough Canadian Shield landscape and stunning coastal views, this race combines a variety of terrains, including single track, double track, dirt roads, bushwhacking, and beach running. It’s not just a race—it's an adventure through unforgiving and beautiful wilderness.

The SOO 200 course is diverse and challenging. Athletes will face a combination of single track, double track, dirt roads, and even bushwhacking in some areas. Sections of the race may require some route-finding, and there will be minimal pavement. Checkpoints will be spaced 20 to 40 km apart, offering support as you push through the wilderness. Expect rugged and gnarly terrain at every turn!

The SOO 200 is open to solo competitors who are ready to tackle one of the most grueling ultra-endurance challenges in Canada. If you're an experienced ultra-runner or endurance athlete with the grit to go the distance, this race is for you. It’s a test of mental and physical toughness, and only those ready for the ultimate challenge need apply!
