RACE DETAILS

The SOO 200 is a 200-mile race through the Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma area of Ontario. Known for its tough Canadian Shield landscape and stunning coastal views, this race combines a variety of terrains, including single track, double track, dirt roads, and bushwhacking. Schedule
Thursday
  • 4:00 p.m. - Check-in (all runners – location TBA)
  • 6:00-9:00 p.m. - Pre-race dinner and racer meeting (200-milers – location TBA)
  • 7:00 p.m. - Volunteer Meeting
Friday
  • 6:30 a.m. - Buses begin departing for Pancake Bay (200-milers – Pickup location based on runner locations)
  • 8:00 a.m. - SOO 200 begins!
  • 4:00 p.m. - Check-in continues (50k, 100k, 100-milers)
  • 6:00 p.m. - 50k, 100k, 100-milers preprace meeting (online)
  • 7:00 p.m. - Volunteer Meeting (for Saturday/Sunday)
Saturday
  • 6:30-7:30 a.m. - Late Check-in (50k, 100k, 100-milers – Stokely Creek Lodge)
  • 7:30 a.m. - 50k, 100k, 100-miler racer update
  • 8:00 a.m. - 100k and100-miler begins!
  • 8:30 a.m. - 50k begins!
  • 7:00-9:00 p.m. - 50k post-race meal
  • 8:30 p.m. - 50k final cutoff + Awards (Stokely Creek Lodge)
Sunday
  • 7:30-9:00 a.m. - 100k post-race meal (Stokely Creek Lodge)
  • 8:00 a.m. - 100k Racer cutoff + Awards (Stokely Creek Lodge)
  • 3:30-5:00 p.m. - 100-miler dinner (Stokely Creek Lodge)
  • 5:00 p.m. - 100-miler awards (Stokely Creek Lodge)
Tuesday
  • 12:00 p.m. - 200-miler Racer cutoff
  • 12:00-1:30 p.m. - 200-miler lunch (Stokely Creek Lodge)
  • 1:00 p.m. - 200-miler Awards (Stokely Creek Lodge)
  • 2:00 p.m. - Final shuttle from Stokely to Sault Ste. Marie
Start Location:
  • 200-miler – Pancake Bay Provincial Park
  • All other distances – Stokely Creek Lodge

  • 200-miler – 100 hours
  • 100-miler – 32 hours
  • 100k – 24 hours
  • 50k – 12 hours
Course:
Support Crew + Drop Bags:
  • 200-milers have definied locations where they can have drop bags and support crews – see the Support, Pacers, and Drop Bags page
  • All other distances – runners are allowed to have support crew or a drop bag at Stokely Creek Lodge
    • Driving directions and support crew instructions coming soon!
Pacers:
  • 200-miler – Pacers are allowed starting at CP3 Mica Bay (86.4km) – see the Support, Pacers, and Drop Bags page for locations where pacers can meet you
  • All other distances – Pacers are not allowed
Aid Stations/Checkpoints (CPs):
  • CPs are located throughout each stage – some have supplies, and some are just important junctions
  • Runners are not allowed to cache gear at CPs (picking up or dropping off) but they are encouraged to leave garbage with volunteers
